I quit
I’m quitting WOW. It was fun at first. Then it turned awesome. The more and more I played it, the better it got. Gaining levels, exploring professions, doing quests, playing with friends; it was fun. I’d play for a couple hours at a time. After work, on the weekends, little here, little there. Then, more and more. Started sleeping less, grabbing fast food and other ready made stuff, ignoring my other hobbies. As I type this, I realize its very sad, how much time I’ve logged into this “game”. Lately, its all I do. Day long sessions, endless research about items and quests. I don’t think it was addiction, but it was definitely getting there. I’ve been obsessed with games before. Metal Gear Solid, Magic the Gathering, D and D, but somehow this is way different. It was nice playing with friends online but, were on at different times and play different levels, so we really can’t play at the same time, even when were all on. I don’t know if there is a way to play without jumping all into the deep end. So, I’ll just have to give it up.
